Inlet Harbor Restaurant is located at 133 Inlet Harbor Rd Ponce inlet, FL 32127. It sits at a marina with a huge outdoor deck. A guitarist was playing old tunes and the evening was just gorgeous. Our 15 month old granddaughter loved the place and was treated like royalty. Ponce Inlet is a gorgeous end to the peninsula. There is a lighthouse museum located close by. Once again the menu was gigantic offering multiple kinds of fresh seafood cooked many ways and also offered sandwiches, salads, appetizers etc. We began with two island drinks the run runner and the sunset smash which were remarkable inexpensive I had shrimp and scallop primavera which was so large I finished it for lunch the next day. My husband ordered ribs which he just loved. They have wonderful little corn fritters and everyone was very happy. Another must go in Daytona.

One can never leave out the shiny silver Starlight diner. The corn beef hash was plentiful and crusty. The waffles, eggs, toast and bacon were gobbled up by both my husband and granddaughter. No fanfare of fuss just good old diner food at reasonable prices.

The Big Kahuna is in downtown Daytona located at 1010 Main St. It has huge open windows and a very eclectic style. The menu was great. I had a teriyaki chicken breast with pineapple and cheese on a huge bun. My husband ordered Philly cheesesteak which once again he and my granddaughter devoured. I recommend this for a great lunch spot. It might not be the best place for children at night but a must go when staying in Daytona.

Desperately wanting Italian food we headed to a place we don’t have locally, The Olive Garden located at 1725 International Speedway. I had spaghetti and Meatballs and my husband Fettuccine Alfredo. All meals come with salad and bread sticks. Once again our granddaughter help her grandpa gobble up the meal and we still had leftovers. The wait staff all were good to her. Good choice for us.

Sloppy Joes at Ocean Walk Shoppes 250 N Atlantic Ave
Sloppy Joes is a restaurant we visited about 10 years ago in Key West. It was said to be one of Hemingway’s favorite haunts. We loved the place in Key West and we loved this Sloppy Joes as much. Service right from the door to table and everything else was spot on and friendly. The menu is quite comprehensive offering all ranges of cuisine. The offer Golden Lobster Bisque and Chowder, Thai Chicken Salad, retro Cobb, Taco salads. For Beach Specialties they offer Honey Glazed Salmon, Signature Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, Ribeye etc. The sandwich choices are just as diverse with the Big Sloppy right up there on the top. We both ordered the big sloppy and it was huge and delicious. They offer pulled pork, black angus burgers, Gulf Coast Grouper, Havana Sandwich, and much more. I can’t even begin to list the wonderful appetizers and desserts. This is a must go to in Daytona. Even you are just passing through. I highly recommend Sloppy Joes in Daytona.

Stavro’s Pizza House has had the same owner since 1975.Located in a quaint artsy area of Downtown Daytona Beach. Located at 262 South Beach St. We are not able to get good New York style pizzas where we live so we were apprehensive. We just wanted a good pizza so badly. We were not disappointed. We selected a small cheese pizza with mushrooms and black olives. All dough is made on the premises and each pizza is made to order. It was a fabulous pizza. Even our 15 month granddaughter loved it. They have a very extensive menu from pizza’s to salads, Stromboli, calzone, gyro, spinach pie, Greek salad and Hot Oven Grinders as the northerners call Subs and all the pastas. Take the time to search out Stavro’s Pizza House . I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Spanky’s Seafood Grill and Bar in Brunswick, GA sits on a beautiful marsh with a dock and boats. Great views, great food, great family atmosphere, and excellent service. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner you can enjoy fresh seafood, gourmet burgers and their Original Chicken Fingers. Located at 1200 Glynn Ave Brunswick, Ga it is an easy hop off 95 for lunch or dinner when traveling north or south. We ordered a steak sandwich which was a very generous portion and a Shrimp salad with onion rings in the coleslaw. The prices are reasonable the menu is extensive and I recommend it highly when visiting Brunswick or traveling rout 95.

Near the Daytona raceway there is a greyhound race track. It is so much fun to watch greyhound races. We won a little and had a super time. They also now have a poker room for those who want more than just the dogs. It was a fun night out.

A short drive from Daytona is Ponce de Leon inlet with a lighthouse museum and the Inlet Harbor Restaurant and Marina. There's a screened in porch overlooking the inlet and great food and entertainment. On the way out there is a great restaurant called The North Turn. It is oceanfront with a porch bar and inside restaurant. It has lots of racing memorabilia as it once was the original racetrack.
