Old South Golf Links
Opened in late 1991, Old South is an outstanding test that
ranks as one of the Southeast's finest daily-fee courses. Its
excellence stems from some fine design work by Clyde Johnston,
combined with a breathtaking setting. The front nine rolls through
wooded forests with some intriguing marsh holes, and the
back nine ranks among the best in the Hilton Head area.
Several holes skirt the marsh and offer a
superb test as well as magnificent views. Johnston preserved the
beauty of the land while creating a fine, yet accommodating test
of golf that offers four tee settings and measures from 4,776
to 6,772 yards.
