Golf Hilton Head, SC
Robert Trent Jones Course
Palmetto Dunes
The oldest, and probably the most "player friendly"
of the
Palmetto Dunes courses, the Jones course is among the most
picturesque layouts on Hilton Head Island. Winding through parts
of an 11 mile network of navigable lagoons, the
Jones course is also among the most visible
on the island, with four holes running parallel to
the island's main thoroughfare, U.S. 278.
The wide open fairways and large greens make
the Jones course a pleasure to play for golfers of all skill levels.
The natural beauty of the 6,710 yard course is exemplified by the
back nine, where water comes into play on seven holes. The
signature hole is the 10th, a par five playing 540 yards from
the blue tees straight away to a green set flush against the Atlantic
beachfront.
