Hi my name is Kate and I am a 21 year old college student. I am planning
on living in charleston this summer but was wondering if anyone had any
ideas regarding a fun summer job. I love working with people. I have many
years of experience waitressing, cocktailing and some bartending
experience. I was hoping to find a fun job that would make me the most
cash. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am not that familiar
with the area.

We are a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 children, ages 3-8) who will be
staying at Edisto for a week in June. Can you tell me of any charter boats
for fishing or glass-bottom boats in that area or around Charleston?
Thanks!

Our book club went to Jestine's Kitchen on 1/16/05 after visiting the
wonderful aquarium. It was wonderful. We had to wait a little while on the
sidewalk (kind of chilly) but it was well worth it! We all had different
entres and all were great. Our seafood dishes were perfect (fried shrimp,
fried oysters, and pecan crusted whiting), someone had spinach spoonbread
served with creamy grits, and another had the grilled meatloaf with mashed
potatoes and gravy. My friend and I split a piece of coconut cream pie
that was heaven on a plate. The prices were reasonable and the service was
first rate too. We were all very pleased and we are picky and have been to
many the Charleston restaurant. Justine's Kitchen is not fancy but it sure
was yummy.

MISTRAL- the only good thing about France that there is....Charleston,
SC...check it out!
And, "Lady" dont be so concerned about missing the BUBBA GUMP Shrimp Rest.
If you want to go there, just put a lobster around your neck and walk into
a grocery and buy some Captain Ds. take-home seafood in a box. Invite 10
people more than
your house can hold, hire 3 incompetent, under 21 year old waiters, and
throw a bunch of plastic Ocean paraphanalia around your livingroom. Play
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, and you'll be all set. (Oh ya, and dont
forget the yellow/orange
strob-light to make it look like the sun is setting...

We visited Middleton Place Plantation and Gardens last spring and it is
beautiful! It is located just outside Charleston (20 minutes) and well
worth the drive. The gardens here are a national historic landmark and are
famed to be the oldest landscaped gardens in the United States. The spring
will be beautiful with the extensive amount of camellia trees in bloom,
plus the azaleas.

Back in the early 1980's my wife and purchased a time share at the Sea
Crest Surf and Racquet Club. It wasn't close to being finished the first
time we used it. But, the experience was excellent. The resturants in the
Plaza across the road were quite good. We had a two minute walk to the
beaches.
Now, almost 25 years later, we have lived in GA, TX and TN. We have
returned to HH and Sea Crest periodically from each state and have watched
the changes as HH has grown and matured. The number and sheer size of some
of the new developments is mind-boggling.
Our quiet little Sea Crest unit #203, week #25 is still just as nice as
it was the first time we visited. The staff and management at Sea Crest
truly go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and at home.
But alas, we must now let our time share go. We can/could rent it, but
we feel it's time to sell. We understand there is some sort of moratorium
on new construction on HH, so places like ours will soon be at a premium.
We suggest you check out Sea Crest Surf and Racquet Club for your next
vacation.

We are considering purchasing a time share at the Cottages at Shipyard.
Can anyone give me some insight into this property? We've stayed at all
kinds of places on the Island, from thte Motel 6 (dirty, crappy and seemed
to have a resident hooker) to the H.H. Beach & Tennis Resort (very nice
location right on the beach). But we do not have much knowledge of the
Shipyard area or the Cottages. Thanks much. <brianehill@bellsouth.net>

I was wondering if anyone knows of a very good boarding kennel near the
port o call condos in Hilton Head Island, SC.? Since we can't keep him in
the condo, I would like him to be near us, so we can take him out for a
while each day, so he knows we're around. Any helpful suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Rose Casey

Hello! I'm a second year student at the University of Guelph in Ontario,
Canada, and I am hoping to travel to Hilton Head for the summer, and find
a job. I've been to the Island before, and LOVED it, so I was hoping
someone could e-mail me regarding a (cheap!) place to stay, and possibly a
restaurant/ bar or golf course that would hire a Canadian ;) for the
summer. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated! Ashlee
