Staying with some friends in their condo at Windsor II in Palmetto
Dunes. Can you send info on some nice places to eat at moderate prices. We
are arriving 4-14 thru 4-21. Thanks in advance for you efforts. S. Cellura We would to experience Hilton Head this summer for our vacation. If you
could help maybe with some places to stay that are around $700-850.00 per
week. There are 5 of us ranging in age from 47 to 16 yrs.old. My daughter
and her boyfriend are golf fanatics. The weeks we are possibly looking at
are either June 11th thru 17th or July 9th thru 15th. We would love ocean
front or oceanview. We love the ocean. Can anyone give me legitimate information regarding the best way to
locate reasonable rental lodging in the Sea Pines area for August 1999? I
have received several vacation packets; but would welcome suggestions from
those who have been there. Is it beneficial to go through an agent or a
service? Or is one better off researching on their own? Serious replies
and suggestions would be appreciated. Howdy! My wife and I are planning a trip to Hilton Head Island in
March. We were considering staying at the "Comfort Inn & Suites" near
South Forest Beach. We would appreciate any feedback concerning the
quality of the motel. How are the rooms? How is the service? How is the
pool? Thank you! ----Jake and Rebecca S. We're looking for a home or condo to rent the week or two around Jan
31, 1999 that will allow two small, very well-behaved dogs. Can do 2-4
bedrooms. Anyone know any homeowners who rent to pet owners? I am currently a junior at the University of Illinois @
Urbana/Champaign. I am searching for a summer internship position
preferably at a luxury real estate office or property management company.
I have vacationed at Hilton Head the past six summers so I am fairly
familiar with the island setup. So, if anyone has any leads for me, please
let me know! Also, if anyone knows of some reasonable lodging or if there
are other summer student interns, write me and we maybe divide the rent!
Thanks! Tim Salm
I'd like to bring my family to hh around Easter. Anything special going
on for kids under ten, or any preferred places to stay? Thanks My roommate and I are Graduate Students in Speech Pathology and will be
coming to Hilton Head this summer to work at the Hilton Head Medical
Center. We are having great difficulty finding a place to live that is not
considered a summer vacation spot or a resort. We are on limited funds and
would appreciate any suggestions on affordable summer housing. Thanks! To Whom It May Concern, I am a resposible student looking for an
exciting summer job. Do you have programs for college students to work and
stay there in the summer? Thanks :) Hi. My friends and I are looking to find a job in Hilton Head, or
another resort town to work over the summer of '99. We are willing to work
hard to save money for our junior year at college. If anyone has any
information, please get in touch with me. Thanks.
We've booked a 2BR condo at Tennismaster Villas in Shipyard Plantation
for July 99. Would appreciate any comments from anyone who has stayed
there as well as addtional suggestions for activities and dining.
Thanks!P,S. This is our first trip to HHI I was thinking about getting a job for the summer in a resturaunt in
hilton head. So I can expand my knowledge of the food service industry.
Any help would be appreciated. submitted November 1998. I am planning to take my elderly parents to Hilton Head in November for
1 week. I am having a hard time finding a place that will accept a small,
older, gentle, housebroken dog. If anyone can help, it would be greatly
appreciated. October 27, 1998 Are there any good places on HHI that offer aerobic classes? We have visited HHI several times and enjoy it so much we're going
again. Several times we have gotten reservations through a place called
(we think) Island Reservations which was located just off the island. A
very nice person named Ruth always helped us. We have lost her number and
have been unable to find anything on the net. Can anyone out there help?
We plan to leave for HHI within the next couple of days. Any info will be
appreciated. We'll be in HH Aug. 24 for several days. We have two teenage boys who
love jet skiing....any ideas for rentals? Or other ideas of things to do
on the island. We'll be staying in Harbor Town. Thanks. E Fleming FOTOL8Y@aol.com
I have been a supermarket manager for 20 years and i have recently
vacationed on Hilton Head Island and would like employment information on
the supermarkets on the Island or web site addresses so that I may contact
them about a possible career in hilton Head. Thank you trying to find information re: hilton head health institute and/or
dother resorts in/on hilton head. Information not available on your site
or thru Yahoo/other search engines. Only listing was location on map and
telephone #. your information is sketchy at best. Sorry information was
not available. 3D Can you give me names of any kennels to keep my dog during our stay
in Hilton Head?? My family, ages 3-53 will be at Hilton Head in September,1998,looking
for good restaurants, bike rentals, boat tours(rentals), best areas for
nature photography, best places to go to see Dolphins. Since I am a
photographer, need to know where to go. This is my first time to HH. How
can I get a map of HH? Need to know the best places for a 27 year old male
to go to have fun also. Would possibly like to go see Savannah, if time
allows. Any suggestions for that? Jan Briggs 8/10/98 Has anyone stayed at a nice RCI(Resort Condominiums International)
resort? We are planning a trip next summer and need advice on where to
stay. We want an ocean view. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in
environmental engineering, civil engineering business classes and some
German. I would like to work in the south , . I would like to know of any
job opportunities. Thank You I am looking for a quite place that will accomodate 18 people. This can
be split in two places if nessasary. Request would be on beach, pool,
spacious living area. Since I am in charge of putting a family reunion
together I would like to see if Hilton Head is the right place for us. We
just returned from a week in Mrytle Beach and it was a nightmare, trash
accomadations, and very rude people. Hi, I am 25 and live in Michigan and would love to find employment on
Hilton Head Island at the end of the year. If anyone has some beneficial
information regarding employment and housing, please drop me an Email. Any
information would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone reccommend the Savannah cruises? We are coming down, again,
in Sept. and would love to see the old downtown area. Do you get enough
time on a cruise or should we drive ourselves? Is it worth the $ to not
have to worry with parking etc? Any advice appreciated. I am heading for Hilton Head next week(7-22-98) for a quick visit with
my husband and 2 children ages 5 and 8. Please recommend the best dolphin
cruise or anything else that would be enjoyable to my entire family. We
enjoy nature and a casual atmosphere. Thanks!! I am a single mother of two daughters- 15 and 6. We are planning to
vacation on Hilton Head next summer and are looking for a 2 bedroom condo
to rent. We have vacationed on Hilton Head many times and have always
stayed in the Sea Pines area. Some of the places we have stayed are Lagoon
Villas, Gleneagle Green, etc. This is the type of condos we are interested
in. I have written to several rental agencies and they have sent me rates
which seem much higher than I remember paying before. So I wondered if
there were any condo owners out there who handle their own rentals (at
perhaps a better rate). The things we really enjoy on the island are
bicycling, beaching, swimming in a good pool, good restaurants, and
exploring. Please let me know if you have anything available. My friends and I are looking to stay in Hilton Head Island next summer,
1999. I know that this is way far in advance, but we are looking for a
somewhat inexpensive place to live. There will probably be 3-4 of us, and
we would not mind a 2-4 bedroom place! Please contact me with some
information or a website that I can read to start our search. We are
planning to simply be waitresses or something, is that also in demand in
the beginning of the summer? Thanks! My family (age 20-73)just returned from HHI. We enjoyed golf, fishing,
swimming in ocean, trip to Penn Center on St Helena. We stayed in my
timeshare in N. Forest Beach. Coligny Plaza was a real convenience.
Enjoyed Steamers at Coligny; short walk to beach. We found everyone to be
friendly. We "discovered" African American (as well as many other)
families well represented at Abe's Native Shrimp House. Are there other
restaurants, clubs on the island that African American families enjoy? My family is planning a stay for a week at the Disney Resort on Hilton
Head Island later this month. Anyone want to offer some advice on the
place, or things in general to do etc. We have a 14 year old girl as well
as an 18 year old boy with his girlfriend....... Thanks folks !! Hi! Last year someone told me that they heard there was a place at
Hilton head where you could arrange to swim with dolphins. Is this true or
was it just a rumor? I can't find any literature on the net about this.
Thanks! C. West I am looking to move to Hilton Head Island and would like some
information on employment agencies or opportunities. I am a college
graduate with 5 years of sales experience and would like to relocate to
Hilton Head. Anyone who has and information that would assist my efforts
please email me. Thank you. J.B. We will be in Hilton Head from June 26-July 2. We are trying to
determine which deep sea fishing outfits are the best for adults and young
teens. A half day trip is what we want (3-4 hours). And what time of day
is best for fishing during that time - morning or afternoon? Thanks! My wife and I are planning atrip to HHI in July via our 26' RV. Does
anyone have any advice on where we should stay? I have been abel to find
two RV Resorts, one is the Hilton Head RV Resort and Yacht Club. It looks
nice in the brochure but looks like a long way from the beach. It is on
the intercoastal waterway. The other one is Outdoor Resorts Motor Coach
Resort. It doesnt' appear to be as nice but is only about a half mile from
the beach. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 3DI am interested in locating information from Hilton Head.
Travel-lodging-points of interest.=20 We are heading back to HH for our second summer. This year we'd like to
arrange a tour to Dafuskie Island. Anyone with any tips, please advise.
Thanks for your help! My wife and I are thinking of going to Hilton Head in Novemeber. What
is the weather generally like? Are there activities going on at this time.
We don't want to go at a "down" time of the year. szagzebs@wausau.com Hello, I live in Lebanon, Tennessee. I was recently contacted by
Spinnaker resorts. I purchased a vacation package from them. They say that
we are booked at Players Club Resorts. Is this company and resort actually
there? Please respond. I appreciate your time. Thanks, Regina Killman We are planning a trip to hhi on june 13th. we are staying in a condo.
Do you know if there is a place where we can rent a crib. We have a 2 year
old? Also if you had to choose to do one thing while there what would it
be. We dont golf and with a 2 y.o. its difficult to do the normal things.
Thanks for your time. We're thinking of a visit to HH in late July/early August. I notice
most people in the Travelogue have visited in winter or early spring. Is
the weather unbearably hot in late July/early August? I've spent time in
the Outer Banks in the summer and found it comfortable due to the ocean
breezes. Please give me your thoughts on HH weather during that time
period!! When (during what weeks of August/September) is the best time to visit
HHI? My wife and I are planning our first visit and would prefer to visit
after the peak summer season ends but when the weather is still great.
Also, what areas of HHI are best for a 30ish couple w/o children. We like
peace and tranquility--not "wild times!" We like to be on or near the
beach, but like to avoid areas that attract primarily school-age children
and senior citizens. Send comments to rwwilson@wku.campus.mci.net. Thank
you. A bunch of my buddies and I were looking for someplace to go and relax
after our medical school board exam in June and we decided on Hilton Head.
I haven't been to Hilton Head since I've been old enough to go out, so I
was wondering if anyone out there could suggest some of the good bars that
are down there. We're staying in South forest beach, so bars that are
around there would be great. Thanks, Aaron Wittenberg This is our first trip to H.H. We are spending our summer vacation in
Palmetto Dunes, June 13-20th. Our children are 8 and 4 yrs. old. Any
suggestions on family activities and are there any babysitting services ?
Is there an age limit on the golf courses? Can you also recommend a good
restaurant. (one for adults and one for the kids.) WE WILL BE VISITING IN JULY AND WILL BE STAYING IN CENTRE COURT VILLA
IN PALMETTO DUNES. ANY ONE EVER STAYED THERE? ANY INFO. ABOUT THE AREA?
THANKS! 5/98 Our family looking to visit Hilton Head in July or August. We are a
family of 6 and are looking to rent a 3 or 4 beedroom house in Sea Pines.
Our family loves the beach and would like a home situated within close
walking distance to the beach. Would prefer to deal with the owner
directly but will entertain offers from rental agencies. Please e-mail me
with information on your property includingt availability and pricing.
Thank you. Bachelor Party: That's why I'm coming to Hilton Head. I've never been
and I must show the groom one heckuva night. Any ideas (wink, wink, nudge,
nudge)? we are going to hilton head in may and I would like to know where I
could rent a crib for a baby. Please let me know if you have any
suggestions. Thank you. ckburke@msn.com I'm going to HH for the first time for a couple of days at the
beginning of May. I wanted a place on the beach, and the most reasonable
one I've found seems to be teh Beach and Tennis Resort on Folly Field
Road. I have no idea, though, where on the island this is (i.e. nice area?
far from everything else? etc.) If anyone could help me out, I'd really
appreciate it. Thanks -- Andy My husband and I will be staying at the Island Club at Folly Field in
May 98 (with our 2 1/2 year old). We would appreciate any comments on the
Island Club resort and suggestions for things to do with a small child.
Are the dolphin or dinner cruises a good idea? Suggestions for nice (kid
friendly) restaurants? Thanks! My husband and I are planning our first trip to Hilton Head Island in
mid July. What is considered the best hotel resort, the Hilton, Hyatt, or
the Westin? We are looking for the best in accommodations, ambiance,
setting, service, etc. Thanks so much, J. Doesschate Help.....anyone who LIVES and is not vacationing in Hilton
Head.....need information on local realtors and relocation information.

Staying at the Crowne Plaza. Our package includes 2for1 golf at Shipyard
Plantation or Port Royal; complimetary golf at Island Westor Rose Hill
Country Club. Considering the budget, and maybe a total of 3 rounds of
golf, any suggestions? We're fairly high handicappers, but enjoy the
views. I was hoping to get some information on the HHI Beach and Tennis Resort
from people who have stayed there. My husband, my 3 1/2 yr old daughter
and I are planning to rent there in June or July and would appreciate any

CloudyDae@aol.com Thanks again! I want to know more about 3-28-98 home tour sponsered by the Society of
Design Administration. Is this private homes or new homes? I can't find a
phone number, etc. to find out more information. 4 of us ladies planning a
trip to your area during that time & need infomation now. We're renting a home with a pool on Shipyard Plantation in mid-May.
They told us the pool is not heated but that shouldn't be a problem in
May. Is that true? We want to be sure because the pool is our main reason
for renting this particular home and we will go elsewhere if they are not
being honest about this. Thanks! Hello! My friend and I are recent college graduates and would like to
live in Hilton Head this summer. We are looking for affordable
accomodations and jobs. COuld you please point us in the right direction?

Hello, We are taking our spring break at Hilton Head and staying at the
Marriot Harboure Point. We will be there in mid March. What is the weather
at that time? Also we would like to know about night life and activities
for college students that are under 21 yrs of age. Thank-you Mary and Crew
My husband and I are planning to a trip to Hilton Head Island Beach and
Tennis Resort with our 4 year old during the week of Memorial Day. Can
anyone offer specific suggestions regarding what "not to miss" and what we
may want to avoid? Also, if anyone has stayed at this property, I'd be
interested in their experience. We have the opportunity to extend our
stay, and are trying to decide if we want to extend at this property or
another. Please reply to stpierre@honcompany.com. Thanks! We are considering Hilton Head for the location of our wedding. Any
tips on really nice resturants, reception areas, or Catholic Churches?
Thanks!! I am planning a trip to Hilton Head in April 98. I am an avid scuba
diver and was wondering if there was scuba diving in the area, and even if
the water temperatures would be conducive to diving at that time of year.
I would appreciate any information that you could give me. Thank you.
Peter Herr SeaQ1@AOL.com Hi all! I have the chance (possibly, anyway) to visit HHI at the end of
March/beginning of April. However, I could only get away for a long
weekend (3, maybe 4 days) and it's a looooong drive (9 hours or so) to HHI
from my house. What I'd like to know from all you HHI "regulars" (or if
you've ever visited at this time of year) is would it be worth my while to
go for such a short time at this time of year? Are there enough things to
do (swimming is probably out unless I could find a heated pool?) in Hilton
Head at that time of year to make the trip worthwhile? I love walking on
the beach, etc, and I know it's fairly warm in March/April (at least
compared to home!). What do you think? All suggestions would be helpful!
TIA, Tracey tlovedittoe@yahoo.com Have stayed at Hilton Head 3 times in the last 8 years. Have always
rented a home in Sea Pines near Sea Pines Plantation Club. This year
looking at Turtle Lane Villas. Anyone had any experience staying there?
Also, looking for some USCA croquet courts on the Island. Husband is a
USCA member and would like to get in some play while on vacation in June
1998. I've been going to Hilton Head every summer for the past 19 years. I am
now a junior at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am planning on
spending either this summer or next summer living and working on Hilton
Head Island and would appreciate any advice on how to go about finding a
job and a cheap place to live. thank you. Hi I am hoping if anyone has any experience staying at Shorewood, you'd
be kind enough to email me at Kapeman@aol.com, your experience staying
there. I'm particularly interested in knowing how clean and up to date the
facility is. Any other info that you think is relevant will be
appreciated. We are planning our trip for late Aug 98. Hello.. we are contemplating a June trip to HH.. we have a wheelchair
bound person in our group... some beach areas have beach-buggies that the
disabled can be pushed on the beach in.. are these available in HH?
Thanks, Rick I'm looking for a list of spas, massage parlors, anything that would
have the "treat me right" attitude. I've only been able to find 2 off the
web and they are only open till 1 or 2 on Sat. I'm looking for something
open all day. I appreciate your help I've been to Hilton Head twice and stayed both times in the North
Forest Beach area. I love the entire island and want to return anytime
from September, 1998 forward. I am looking for a home or condo on or near
the beach that can accomodate two adults and two PERFECTLY behaved older
Golden Retrievers for up to one month. My last two vacations were
wonderful but I missed my 'kids'. They are getting a little older now and
have never seen the ocean. I am retired and spend all my time making sure
the pups are trained and well mannered. If anyone can direct me to a home
owner who is also a dog lover. . .please contact me at my e-mail address (katelyn@fairfieldi.com),
at (614) 569-7766 or at RR1 Box 125 Hide-A-Way Hills, OH 43107. Thanks and
I hope to visit soon!!! Judy McClelland I am a sophomore at Michigan State that will be living in Hilton Head

job that relates to my Marketing major. Any info. please e-mail me! Have
great day! :) CAN ANYONE GIVE ME INFORMATION ON THE RADISSON SUITES HOTEL IN HILTON
HEAD. PLANNING A FAMILY REUNION IN 1998. My fiance and I will be married on Hilton Head in January 1998. There

places to stay. Also what is there to do at HHI. Please reply, look

We are interested in where to stay, what to do, golf, sightseeing, where

live there. Any advice for first time visitors with two teenagers (ages 15 & 16) we
are happily looking forward to any input! Also on our way back home we
plan to spend one day in Charleston, staying at the Best Western King
Charles Inn. How much can we enjoyably pack into one day...we love history
and architecture and would like to visit Ft Sumter if it is feasible. Any
suggested highlights for HHI and Charleston appreciated. Please email us
with any advice, I don't often get to read this terrific travelogue.
Leaving in two weeks. Thanks. June 7-14/97. Once again had a grand time on the Island. Took the
advice of some of your Travelogue readers & tried out a few restaurants.
The sandwiches at Philly's are indeed a great find. Tried both locations.
Preferred New Orleans Rd atmosphere-but excellent food at either. Also
tried OLD FORT PUB. Saved it till our last nite, and wish we had gone
earlier in the week, so we could have spent many more outings there.
Beautiful sunset, absolutely superb service, and terrific food. It didn't
seem to matter whether customers were ordering from the pub menu,
(munchies & lighter fare) or the full dinner menu, the staff were
attentive, super friendly and very accomodating to every request.
Frequented by many locals,(a good sign) with many many Chicago Bulls fans
peeking in at the TV in the bar. (may have something to do with the fact
that Michael & family have a home in Wexford!) We had the best time there,
and after a dozen or more visits to HH in the last 6 summers , it is now
our fav for that type of dining. However, we still will frequent the Wild
Wing a tradition we have created since our very first visit!! Does anyone
have any info on the Players Club Resort/Inn?? Can't seem to find much.
Friends have a stay/play golf pkg. they are interested in using, but would
like to know something about the place first. We just couldn't offer much
in that regard. Appreciate any response, positive or otherwise. Hoping to
get back in late August, for another week, until then looking forward to
checking out Travelogue updates. Thanks. Dawna, Rick, Rose & Dick
St.Catharines, Ontario Canada. We are going to Hilton Head for the first time for our honeymoon (3rd
week in September) and I would like to get some feedback from HH visitors.
We are staying in a condo - Captain's Walk in Palmetto Dunes - does anyone
have any experiences, good or bad, at these condos? Also, we are an active
and athletic couple, are there good bike trails on the island (besides the
beach)? I have a lot of good ideas for dinner and nightlife from the
messages I've read here in the Travelogue, and Savannah sounds wonderful,
so thanks for the opportunity to get "real people" experiences and I would
appreciate any ideas. Brock in Michigan brock@mcsl.com Hello all,My wife and I are planning a FIRST trip to Hilton Head during
mid-July. I amleaning towards the Radisson but not sure what it is like or
if someone could make a recomendation of place to stay. I know the Disney

THANKS! I will be driving to HH from Boston in late July. Would like some info
regaurding which area I should check out. We are considering relocating to
the area. Maybe some locals could e-mail me the scoop on good family
communities I should see? I certainly apperciate any help. Do you have recommendations for scuba spots/shops on the island? Thank
you!!! Veronica White Recently, I sent in a note to the Hilton Head Island Travelogue
following our return from an extended stay in April and May of 1997. (You
can read it in the travelogue) Foolishly, I suppose I offered to give
advice on the best RESTAURANTS...GOLF deals...and other items of interest
on the island...but I wan't prepared for the onslaught of requests from
all over the USA from a lot of nice folks. While I have tried to answer
each request, it has become an awesome task so I will try to sumarize my
opinions, advise and counsel at this time. While I realize it maty not be
for everyone, I hope you will accept it as the "Straight Scoop" from a guy
with on financial interests in answering your questions. If this doesn't
work...then you can reach me at my E-mail address and I will try to help
you. Thanks for your understanding... GERRY from VAIL. OUR FIRST TIME THERE COMING IN SEPTEMBER 1997! Can anyone help of where
to go and wher to stay along the beach, no too overly priced. Thanks is there any thing to do besides golf are there theme parks ect i need

Are there places to fly fish? (either fresh or salt water) Can you
recommend any sea kayaking tours? Thanks. We go to MB every summer, and have always stayed at the Days Inn
Oceanfront on 77th Avenue. I want to stay somewhere new; even if it is
more expensive. More luxurious, but still being ocean front and
comfortable. Any ideas? Looking for info on the Daufuskie Island cruise. Can you help? Thank
You! Wendy Coffin I need help. Please! Our original plans fell through. We are looking
for a ocean front (or close to the ocean), 2 or 3 bdr, villa. Full
kitchen, linens. We have heard only great comments about HH and want to
see for our selves. My oldest boy wants to enjoy the waves. Our vacation
must be 7/18 or 19 through the 25th. We must be back in Buffalo for the
26th. Do you know of any such place that is available on such short
notice? Thanks so much for your time. Mike - Buffalo, NY Note to T.L. Dittoe. I could tell you all about the beach replenishment
program taking place on Hilton Head but you did not supply an Email
address in your comments on the Travelogue. If you read this, Email me at
ANad52@aol.com Submitted 5/31/97 I am planning a mid-June 1997 visit to Hilton Head/Palmetto Dunes. I
have heard that sometime during the summer this year, something will be
happening to the beach/ocean, something about rebuilding the beach using
machines in the ocean? If anyone knows anything about this, an/or the
effect that this might have on the beach while I am there, please let me
know. THanks to all who have contributed to this travelogue, your comments
have been so helpful as my family plans our vacation!! We will be visiting HH for the first time in July 97. Can anyone
suggest places to eat or things to do for 6 people, ages 7 through 72?
Would like places to eat that provide some type of entertainment and/or
atmosphere for casual attire. Can anyone provide information on the dinner
cruises? We need to keep the young as well as the old entertained. Hi! I vacation at HH for last 12 yrs. I remembered seeing the tidal
info somewhere at this site last year. Been searching everywhere but cant
find it. I will be arriving this year around the 6th of June. We plan our
week in advance and would like to always be at the beach at low tide.
Thanks...You probably know that we really love Hilton Head. Twelve years
running...Thanks! Please put a tide schedule back on your site or tell me
where it is...I cant find it?? We are planning to camp at or around Hilton Head this summer. Can you
supply any info on camping sites? Have been reading through your travelogues and picking up some great
tips. I'd really like as much information as possible about activities for
kids (10,7,3). We'll be visiting the Island late June. Also any
information about the Gregg Russell programs for kids would be greatly
appreciated. I've been calling for the past two months and leaving
messages but haven't gotten a response. Thanks, Tracy (tnewman961@aol) I am contacting you for reservation information at a villa/condo during
the 4th of July weekend there in Hilton Head. Most places rent for a week
and I am specifically interested in the dates, 7/3-6/97, Thursday through
Sunday only! If you know of any specials or home owners that would like to
rent their home for those dates, please feel free to give me a call at
home in the evening at 404/223-1118 or email me here at
zclemmons@gbconsulting.com Thank you for your assistance. Zinethia L.
Clemmons Dear Hilton Head Island representative, I'm interested in information

4P9 We will be staying at the Radisson Suites when we come to HHI this May.
Does anyone have any information about it? Also, since this will be our
first time to the island, any information about interesting things to do
and see would be a big help. We will be staying at Sea Pines May 24-31. We would like to know what
the ocean and pool temperature will most likely be. Likewise, do the
evenings get cool at that time of year? What is the going rate for jetski
rental? Besides Greg Russell, what do you recommend for children ages 1
and 1 1/2. Thanks! My family consisting of two children and two adults intend to visit
beautiful HHI for the first time in mid-June. A service is promoting a
stay at the Island Club for a week at $845 for a two-bedroom on the Lagoon
side, $999 for Ocean View, and $1195 for Ocean Front. This seems
attractive but I am interested in your opinion of this resort. I'd
appreciate any comments. Good deal? Nice place to stay? I wouldn't stay
there if they gave it away? Great place for a family (or not so)? Thank
you. Help. My wife and I want to take a 2 day trip to Hilton Head in
mid-May. Can you recommend the nicest hotels. We do not want to stay in a
villa. We are looking just to have a restful 2 days. Any recommendations?
Scott@biztool.com We (family of 5) are planning to visit HHI the week of 6/29/97 and are

of an intimate, charming place to hold the nuptials and reception. We are thinking about staying at the Villamare for our second trip to
HHI(2 adults, 2 children). Does anyone have any info about this resort,
positive or negative? Hi We will be on the island the middle of May staying in a timeshare is

anything comparable to that? What are the rates? We will be coming the
first week of June. All information would be so helpful!! Our e-mail
address is mkek@mcmsys.com Thank you!! Hi. I've got 3 questions: I'm looking for a seasonal rental-Jan thru March that doesn't cost an
arm and a leg. We are a retired couple in our early 50's who would like to
find a place to stay while we look around to maybe relocate later. Have
been in the are before, lived there in the early 60's- loved it. Any info
would be very helpful........THANKS I am considering coming to Hilton Head for the first time this summer.
But have no idea as to where to stay. We are accostom to renting a beach
house on the Outer Banks and would like similar lodging but don't have any

address to get some info. Going to HHI in July for a family reunion at the Radisson Suites. The
reunion is for a weekend, would like to stay on the island for 4 or 5 more

island for 17 years. This summer I would like to live and work on the
island from the month of may through August. I have three questions: Can
you suggest an affordable one -two bedroom apartment or house? Do you have
to be 21 to waitress? Are there any restaurants that offer applications
on-line? Thanks very much! hey! could you please give me directions to hilton head island resort
from myrtle beach. i will be there this wednesday 4/2 - sunday 4/6 thanx a

a charter. Thanks Roy Will be at HHI in June '97. Need feedback on Port O'Call in Shipyard
Plantation and would like to know if there are any golf packages available
for approx. 4-days? Would like info. on the following: good dolphin
cruise, Gregg Russell schedule for the month of June, miniature golf and
mom/child acivities, shopping, best seafood stands, groceries (driving up
from Savannah) and snorkeling areas. Saw on the log that there were many
bike rental places but no references. Called Hilton Head Bike Rental and
they quoted beach bikes $25 wk. discounted to $18 wk. Do I need to rent in
advance? Any need to sightsee in Beaufort? Plan to see Charleston one day.
However, HHI sounds pretty enough to just stay there. Really excited about
our upcoming visit and enjoyed reading the travelogue! Visiting HHI in June, but wondering if anyone's checked out the new
Disney resort. I hear it's at Shelter Cove and NOT on the beach - a
possible drag. Thanks in advance. Stayed at the Beach and Tennis Resort for the last two years during
Spring Break. It was a wonderful trip each year. This year, it was about
85 all week. I came down with my tennis team from school. If anyone who
reads this is planning a trip or is staying, my friend Dawn and I are
looking for the phone number or address of two guys who live at the Beach
and Tennis Resort. Their names are Eric and Jose (Rafa). They live in room
AR342, and they are from Honduras. Jose has my phone number and address
and has called me one time, but he did not leave a return phone number.
Please help!! Hi! I'll be coming to HHI May 10 to begin my internship at one of the

golf. Any suggestions for courses for the novice golfer? submitted3/7/97
Hello!! My tennis team and I are making a trip down there next Friday
for spring break, last year we were down too. I wanted to know if someone
could send me some fun places to go, to party, to hang out. Somewhere
where everyone can have fun and make our spring break one to remember!!
Karaoke something fun we can do with the whole team. Clubs!! Anything!!
Someone Please Reply!!! Thank you We could use some help! 4 families will be travelling together the 1st
or 2nd week of August, 1997. There will be 8 adults and 9 children from
ages 4-14. We would like to be be on the ocean or VERY close to the ocean.
We could either stay together or split up into 2 groups. A house would be
perfect but a condo would be fine. If you can help us out we would
appreciate it. None of us have ever been to Hilton Head before and we are
looking forward to our trip! We all live in St. Louis, Missouri. Thank you
in advance for your information! Please E-Mail me at Liner37@aol.com My 12 year old daughter and I are driving to Hilton Head the week of
March 24 to 31 and wondering if there are canoe, kayaking or other water
activities that are less mainstream than what the big resorts offer. I can
be reached at deltastg@mailbag.com Hi! We are college students from Ohio and we're going to be down in
Shipyard Plantation the second week of March. We want to know where good
dance clubs and bars are on the island. Or any other ideas to have fun. . My husband and I would like to take our 15-month old daugher on a
vacation to HH in early April. I'd love to find a resort that would have a
nursery/camp for her to enjoy while we play golf (I hate the idea of her
cooped up in a hotel room with a babysitter for 8 hours a day!) Any
suggestions??? Some friends and I are planning a trip to Hilton Head in the first week
of April. Will it be warm enough that time of year to enjoy the beach? And
what will the scene be like at night? Also, I'd appreciate a hotel or
condo recommendation, preferably ocean front, $100-$200 a night. Thanks!
My fiancee and I are looking to be married in Hilton Head July 97. A
friend suggested the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Is there any other place (cozy
and romantic) that you can suggest we tie the knot? Help, please! My fiancee and I are looking for a place to spend our
honeymoon (Aug. 3-10), and have been considering Hilton Head. I know
several friends who have been there, and they all enjoy it tremendously.
My question, is it suitable for honeymoon. We are looking for a nice beach
to relax upon, some good restaurants, and the other extras like horseback
riding, shopping, etc. Jennifer doesn't care much for golf, so I don't
know if I will be able to play or not. But, if someone would give me some
tidbits of help, you would be helping me tremendously. Thanks a bunch! My wife and I will be visiting Hilton Head from Oct 11th to Oct 18th of
this year. I would be interested in renting direct from an owner an
Oceanfront 2 bedromm villa in Palmetto Dunes. Preferably in Barrington,
Windsor Court,or Windsor Place. Please respond to e-mail
72133.2707@Compuserve.com Thanks Bill Harkness Hello, my name is Stephen Davis and I am a student at Elon College. A
small group of my freinds and I are visiting your island from April 25-27
for a small vacation away from school. Four out o fhte six of us enjoy
bodyboarding and surfing. I was on the World Wide Web last night searching
for information on wave heights and conditions but I was unable to find
any. I did find the ordinance that states that there is no surfing or
bodyboarding insid ethe designated swimming area's but that was the only
information on surfing that I was able to obtain. I was wondering if you
could send me any information on wave heights and conditions or any web
addresses that would contain this information for Hilton Head Island.
Anything that you are able to send me would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you for your time. In Christ, Stephen Davis, 3936 Campus Box, Elon
College, NC 27244. E-Mail: davis5m0@numen.elon.edu We are staying at the Disney Hilton Head Resort in June 1997. Can
anyone give me information for this resort, such as what you liked and did
not like about your stay or the facilities. Also what resort activities we
should not miss while we are there. We have two preschool age children.
We are interested in renting a villa, sleeps 5 for the first week of
May, preferably in the Shipyard Plantation, either Colonade Club, Port
OCall, or Evian. Near beach and has a pool. Golf discount or free golf
would be great. Non-smoking also. Anyone who can assist please email me
back. Many thanks to those who have already replied last month and I have
those on file for future use. We've spent a week in May at Kiawah for the last 5 years but would like
to try Hilton Head. What is the best way to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom
condo/villa near water and pool? Want something nice, quiet and clean. I will be on Hilton Head April 3-6. Is that the weekend of the Heritage
Gold Tournament? If so, how do I get tickets? I haven't been to a
professional golf tournament before. Any suggestions about where and what
to watch would be appreciated. My friends and I want to travel to Hilton Head Island for Spring Break
this year but we need to know how much the hotel is going to cost and
where to stay. Any suggestions? My family is considering going back to Hilton Head in mid-June '97.
There would be 2 adults and two children, ages 4 & 6. I'm looking to rent
a condo from a private owner if possible. Please email any information on
who I can contact in this regard to me at Naneki32@aol.com Thank you in
advance for your help. I am interisad in a comdo for April 1997. For about 800.00 a week. Two
bedrooms Thank you Jim Molnar We have been discussing a visit to Hilton Head this June or July. Would
appreciate any information on accomodations, activities, best areas, etc.
There would be two adults and two teenagers--although we've been tossing
around the idea of allowing them each to bring a friend. That would depend
on the type of accomodations and rates we find. We are not golfers or
tennis players, so the beach would be the main attraction for us. A clean,
well-kept, beachfront condo in a nice, safe area--that is still
affordable--is what we're looking for. Any suggestions or input about the
area would be appreciated. thanks 1/27/97 In the past four years we have vacationed at HHI and stayed at the
Crowne Plaza Resort (formerly Crystal Sands), but this year we thought we
would rent a villa in Evian, if possible. Could you send rental info or
possible agencies to contact. We need to sleep 5. We have come down the
last to March breaks, and the two summers prior. In March we found other
than golf and tennis, you could not veg in the pool or the ocean. Weather
was great (60s and low 70s) but not as nice as being in the hot summer
time. More action and people and activities to do in the warm months. Also
at the Crowne Plaze (which is a fabulous hotel) we found in March a lot of
business conventions there and they took over the hotel more or less.
Otherwise, a great holiday spot for young and old. My son roller blades
and bikes all day long and my self and my daughter find plenty of
shopping. The Southern hospitality is great. My husband got a hole-in-one
in Shipyard's course and that was a bonus on last year's holiday. Golfing
is expensive especially if you want to take a teenager with you. Las Vegas
Golf & Tennis is a great place for golf and tennis bargains, and so is
Players World. Guiseppe's great for salad and pizza. Up here in Toronto we
look forward to a friendly visit to HHI in the very near future. It is
only a short 17 hours drive down and it is such a beautiful drive. Any
rental information would be appreciated. Thanks. We have come to HHI two summers in a row, and then two March breaks in
a row. We find the summers more enjoyable because of the longer days, and
the fact that you can enjoy the pool and ocean. This year we may come in
May. We have stayed always at the Crown Plaza Resort, which is fabulous,
but this time we may try a condo rental in Shipyard. Any suggestions on
the best rental (I need 2 or 3 bedrooms, and a deal on golfing)? HHI is
great. We used to go to Naples every year, but HHI is so friendly and
southern that we have enjoyed it more. We're from Toronto. I enjoy reading
everyone's comments and I like the HHI expert also. Looking for information for condo rentals in July. Planning family
reunion. Please direct me to some information. Thanks - Jim We've been going to HH for the past 5 years, but have never stayed in
Sea Pines. Any recommendations for two parents and four teenagers?? We
like to be able to get to the beach easily by walk or bike and do not golf
or tennis. 1/97 Coming to Hilton Head 3-29/4-6-97 - Looking for golf courses in a 25

the island, we are planning a vacation in March, please mail it to Cathy

the best place to stay(I've rented a villa accomodation in Sea Pines past
years)? HH is really a wonderful place for the golfers. "Dommage" (french

2nd home, ie benefits, returns, what to avoid, best locations. Thanks. We will be visiting HHI at the beginning of Oct.,1997. We will be
staying at the Adventure Beach Inn and Resort. Does anyone have any
comments about this resort? Also, are there any croquet courses on the
island? My husband and I have a backyard set, but would love to play on a
regulation course. Is there a bus service to Hilton Head from Gainesville, FL? We have visited my parents, who winter on HH each of the last two
Februarys. We will be there again this coming February. While we enjoy
visiting the folks, we all need some time to ourselves. In the past we
have visited Beaufort, Savannah and Charleston; but we are looking for
something unique to do this year. What can you suggest for February fun on
the Island or within a two hour drive? We are looking forward to getting
out of the snow-covered north and revisiting HH. I am looking for a place to stay in Hilton Head for about four nights
that will accept pets. We have a medium size dog we would like to bring
with us. Any ideas? Thanks. Family Reunion Home at Hilton Head, Summer 1997: . I want to hold a

Thanks. Hi everyone: October 25,1996 I have been going to Hilton Head with my
parents for about 10 years now. I turned 21 this past July and now that I
am legal to visit the bars I would like some information on the Spring
Break scene in March. Is it a popular place to go for Spring Break? If
anyone has any information, please let me know. I have about 6 girlfriends
anxious for a great Spring Break this year. Thanks! Vanessa Melnick My fiance and I are from Denver, CO, and we will be married outside
inthe courtyard at the Marriott Grand Ocean Resort on May 29, 1997.
Wewould like recommendations of restaurants that could accomodate a
partyof approximately 30-35 people for dinner. Good food, and
reasonablypriced would be great. The Great Plains Cattle Company indicated
thatthey have a private room and have supplied us with a menu. Can
anyoneattest to the atmosphere and food? Any recommendations would be
greatlyappreciated. I have been to island once, and fell absolutely in
lovewith it - but unfortunately it was a short stay and I didn't have time
to explore many of the restaurants. All of our friends and family,
fromOntario, Canada, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, Michigan, and New York
areexcited about coming to the island in May. Thanks for your opinions.
My family went to Hilton Head in 1995 and loved it! We are now planning
one going back this year with my mom's brother and his family. They have
two boys 12 and 14 and they were wondering what they could do in Hilton
Head. Any suggestion? If you have any information on a place in Shipyard
plantation called Evion-please send it. I am planning a 1997 trip to Hilton Head and I am considering a stay at
the Crowne Plaza resort. Does anyone have any information or experiences
about this resort? Am going to Hilton head Sat the 19th for a week. Is there a piano bar
there? Also, what events are taking place other than tennis or golf(I
don't do either. Thanks WE'RE TRAVELING TO HHI APRIL 97 AND STAYING AT PORT O CALL. NEED INFO
ON LOCATION AND QUALITY, ALSO GOLF COURSES CLOSE BY We have never been to Hilton Head before. We are contemplating going
over Christmas week and staying at the new Disney resort there. We would
prefer to be going to Walt Disney World to stay at the Vacation Club,
where we have stayed many times before, and like very much, but for one
quarter the cost and one day's less driving (We drive from Canada), we can
have the same accommodation at Hilton Head. So, my question is, has anyone
ever stayed at the Hilton Head Disney resort and, if so, how did they like
it? I have found no mention of it anywhere in any of the Hilton Head
internet information. My further question is, would it be dreary and
depressing to be at Hilton Head at that time of year and should we not
persevere with the extra day's driving to get to Florida? My wife & I will be visiting HH in the very near future for a
conference. We'd like to know if there are any Karaoke clubs & what are
