Have to tell you about a great new spa in Myrtle Beach, designed for men but female-friendly, too. It's called He's Not Here BarberSpa For Men. This very cool place is a combination barber shop and day spa, complete with haircuts and styling, massage, manicure, pedicure, facials and a locker room to shower and change afterward. Very upscale but with very reasonable pricing ($18 haircut with old-fashioned hot towel facial, shampoo and scalp massage.) Classy leather and mahogany furnishings, too, with three flat-screen TVs and a super-friendly staff of great ladies and men. It's definitely worth a visit!

I am getting married Dec.31 and am in need of information on places to stay in Myrtle Beach. My fiance and I are both 20 and are finding it hard to find a nice, romantic place that will rent to us. If you can help it would be much appreciated! ( and would like to have it within 48 hours if at all possible)

I visited your fair city the last week of Oct.2004. I just wanted to let you know about a GOLF POLICY most all of your golf course`s have in place. you charge a different fee for S.C. state residents than you do for out of state residents. the fee for out of state residents is approx. 75% higher than for S.C. residents. I have been telling all my friends that they should take advantage of these higher rates while they can. I think that the higher rates for out of state residents is a very good idea, because it does encourage ouy of state residents to visit your area. Thanks for letting me play...Don Koons

I live in Canada and I have met a girl here who also lives in Canada but has a 2nd home in Ft. Lauderdale. She mentioned an "inner-coastal type" restaurant called "mesinotay" (spelling? pronounced 'mez-inn-oh-tay') I will be travelling to Ft. Lauderdale in November possibly with her and would like to set something up at this restaurant but have no information on it. Does anyone know of this place? It would be a great help. thank you

There are lots of good places to stay. I like South Myrtle Beach. The Holiday Inn on the South Beach is good. It is reasonable and lots to do for the 12 yr old. I also like Coral Beach owned by the same people. I was looking at rates today for Oct and they are running about 45-63 per night

Michelle & Richard Congratulations on your upcoming wedding in May of 2005! I own a condo suite right next to Hurl Rock Park and I should be able to get you some great shots of Hurl Rock Park the next time I visit. I will be able to get you some shots from the 10th floor of the building as well as on the ground. Over the years we have witnessed several weddings at Hurl Rock Park. If dining is a priority, you must visit murrels inlet. The is a particular restaruant by the name of Admiral's Flagship, about five miles down on the right that is simply the best sea food (buffet style) I have ever had. Myrtle Beach:

  • Best hamburger and coldest beer at Hamburger Joes in N. Myrtle Beach.
  • Best local dinner for modest price was the Dockside in Calabash.
  • Best breakfast at local restaurant is a tie between Mama Jeans and Hoskins on the North end.
  • Best Fried Chicken is at Hoskins in town on Saturday nites. Also try Pat & Mikes in Little River. Always crowded but worth every wait.
Friendliest and easiest place to play golf was at Eastport. Those people are great and since the course plays easy it is the best for couples, seniors and those just starting.
  • Best entertainment in Myrtle was at the Alabama Theatre. That cast puts there heart into every performance unlike the tired old performances you can find at other theatres, Grant Turner is a genius whose ability is somewhat held in check by constraints of the show. Kelly Cutts is extremely talented and gorgeous.
  • Best place to stay is anywhere in Little River. It is far enough from the hustle and still has the quiet feel of laid back S.Carolina yet near enough to get to the action in minutes. Places to stay in Little River are hard to find unless you want a stay of a month or longer. Most condo-owners associations have imposed minimum stay of 30 days. One such place is Spinnaker Cove. At one time one could rent a unit for minimum of a week. Condo-owners association composed of former members of the now defunct Nazi party have determined that weekly stays would bring in the rift-raff.

I would like to know what there is to do, such as swimming with the dolphins, riding get ski's, parasailing and some price quotes
-- sheena spradlin - Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 23:31:17
Editor's Note: I believe that swimming with dolphins has been made illegal in South Carolina and many other states due to the concern for their safety and preservation. However, there are many boat trips that take you close to them and you will usually see them very close to shore while you are swimming in the ocean.

Try the Boardwalk Hotel. We stayed there last year and they didn't give us any trouble. Their prices are one of the cheapest up there to be right on the beach. If your under 21 and gonna drink though your best to stay in your room and do it cause there was a lot of people arrested last year (June 2003). For a real good time try the Freaky Tiki Club. It was awesome. At around 7PM every gets in there cars or walks down the strip. It is only about 1 mile long but it will take you about 2 hours to get down sometimes. You got a lot of time during that to have fun though.

For the past years we have vacationed in North Myrtle Beach and have LOVED it!! We rent a condo at Sea Cloister II and just love it. So much better then a hotel. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a lovely porch. And the cost wasn't much more. We had all the wonderful things North Myrtle Beach plus Myrtle beach within minutes.

For the last 5 years we have stayed in North Myrtle Beach at a condo called sea cloister's II. It has been just fantastic!!! We stay in a condo on the 2nd floor and it is just wonderful to have a full kitchen overlooking the ocean!! Since it's a 2 bedroom we get friends to share and it is just wonderful not to deal with hotel problems ect. It is minutes from everything we want to do and the resturants are great. I LOVE Carabras sp? and Italian place and Santa Fe, we love brunch at Chestnut Hill. And many great resturants are a short drive in Little River or Calabash! Talk about great and good value for your $$. I also love that many like Carabras and outback offer drive up service for those day's you don't want to change and leave the beach. My husband runs up and we have a wonderful dinner!! It's a great place to vacation and we have come to love it more than when we we're in the heart of MB.

I am looking for a place during Spring Myrtle Beach Bike Week every year. I have searched all over and everything is booked or there is no room. I need accomodations for 8 adults, my Pickup Truck & 24' enclosed trailer used to store the motocycles at night. We are all very clean responsible adults. looking for a time share or a place that we can get every year for May week #19. Must have 4 bedrooms & at least 3 baths. Person or persons letting us stay will not be dissapointed in our visit. I guarantee it! We take care of everything we own and treat all others property the same if not better. If you want to feel safe with no worries about your property please get in touch with me! Yes some of us smoke but we have enough respect to do it outside and dispose of our cigs properly. We are all best friends in our 40s & 50s. Thank you all for your time.

Hi Hazel Staley, The best place to stay for a handicapped person I found was at The Oceans Condo in Cherry Grove. I take my friend there that's also in a wheelchair (electric) and it was very accessible. We have to use a hoyer to lift him into bed and the beds in the room were perfect for this. There are beach wheelchairs about 2 blocks down from the condo on Sea Mountain HWY. Also a grocery store and breakfast places right near by. Also Cherry Grove Pier is close to go out on & have a great breakfast menu. All Street cornres have ramps. This part of Myrtle Beach is very quiet and a lot less traffic than going south but still close to all the attractions.

We stay at Lands End Resort it is a nice quiet resort in North Myrtle Beach. Some of the condos allow pets certin times of the year. We take our beach vacation in September and they allow us to bring our dog with us. It is a very comfortable 2 bedroom condo. We enjoy our stay there.

Editor's Note: Anytime of year can bring weather issues, but generally September is great beach weather with warm to hot temperatures, the ocean can still be in the upper 70's to low 80s and the crowds have subsided.

Me and some friends are wanting to go to Senior Week this summer and were wanting to know where a good place to stay on the strip is. We would like a place that is nice but not to expensive, cuz we want to spend our money having a good time and we can't do that if the room is outragous. There will be like 5-6 of us between the ages of 17-21. We like to have fun but also are responsible while doing so. Your advice would be really helpful so please email me and let me know your picks on places to stay. PLAYGURL4u62586@aol.com

I have a common problem that seems to be posted numerous times. A group of friends and all are looking for a place to stay somewhere in the carolinas. The problem, of course, is finding a place the will rent a beach house to a bunch of 19-year-olds. If anyone knows of such a place/realty or anything please let me know asap. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Hello .. My husband and I just got back from our 1st (but hopefully not our last) visit to the Myrtle Beach area .. We have one problem though .. We wonder if there's a timeshare in the area that allows pets? We travel with a small dog (15lbs)and would love to find a timeshare there .. If not could you recommmend a nice hotel that takes dogs but also has COMFORTABLE beds? It seems whenever we stay at a pet friendly hotel the beds are like ROCKS!! Don't hotels reallize that most older people have small pets and money?? Thanks for your help. Carol Pilot

Please do not take South Beach Resort offer of the Sampler Package. It is all Fake......Tom Lorenz & Elizabeth Johnson at South Beach Resort should be ashamed of thereselves. Telling Client's that if you do not want to purchase a Time Share now. How about try are Sampler Package for only 1095.00 if after trying you still don't want to buy then South Beach will refund all of your money except 175.00 so you should get back around 900.00. But the catch is that sounds like a deal so you purchase & then go again take a secong look. Still don't want to buy you get ready to leave thinking what you were told was true you would get your 900.00 back well not so true. I asked when will we get are 900.00 in the mail or today. E. Johnson stated you don't get your money back it is not refundable since your not buying a time share. But you still get a 7 night 6 day vacation anywhere at anytime here is your cerft. Just call for resverations. Not true you can only go to Myrtle Beach with the cerft...in Nov or Dec or Jan. Who wants to go then. or you could take the 3night 2 day cruise which will still cost another 195.00 a person in port charges. The vacation is not really free it still cost 198.00 to process. What a joke..So everyone beware it sounds good until you ask were is your refund amount for the Sampler package..Well I am sorry your 900.00 only goes towards the timeshare if you purchase one. After finding this out South Beach Resort only has 50.00 in the free Vacation Voucher they pruchased from Mini Vacations. So like they have allot to loose..Except they are gaining by extending the truth. You learn allot when you deal with dirth people. Buyer Beware

My family and i love the seafare restaurant.the last 2 years we have gone to myrtle beach for our vacation. We discovered the seafare from an airplane advertisement and we were really pleased.. We go to murrells inlet location. Last year when we went they didn't have the mermaid pool finished yet, but they did have a singing pirate. My teenager daughter asked to take her picture with him and he was very cooperative. The food is excellent and what a great variety. It's a little expensive but one we don't mind paying for,we are going again this august for vacation and we will have the seafare on our schedule. The other favorite place for food other than seafood is the new golden corral. Awesome!! I hope it is still the best when we arrive.

I've just gotten home from a week-end stay at captain's quarters. I've stayed there several times, and I must say, this was the worst visit I've ever had there. The chlorine in the indoor pool area was horrible. My child coughed the entire time, and could not stay. The water burned my eyes so bad i had to get out of the pool. We couldn't even use these facilities. On Saturday, our kitchen sink stopped up. I called for a plumber, as of the time we left, he still hadn't come. I must say this was very disappointing for a group of six. Sorry, it's usually a great place to go, but this time it was a let down.

My husband and I are planning a trip to myrtel beach in July , We have never been. We want a hotel or motel on the beach so that we can walk out our door and be on the beach. We love Tennis and sight seeing, some shopping, Good places to eat and a few shows to go to. We would like a nice place but reasonable prices due to the fact that we don't plan to spend alot of time in the room. Please help us.

We are looking for a condo on Shore Drive that will sleep 8. Last year we stayed at Pelican's Landing and were unhappy with the unit we were in. There was a nice condo just to our right as we faced the ocean but cannot remember the name of it. Anyone know?

I am a traveling physical therapist coming to work a temporary assignment in Murrels Inlet and my company is having a hard time finding a place that will rent out for a short-term (2-3 months) placement that allows dogs (I have a lab mix who is about 50 lbs that is a great dog). Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you!

We would like to go to north Myrtle beach, but if not we will take whatever. Also it has to be a place that a 18 yr old can check in to. If you can help it would be very appreciate by all 8 of us!Thanks alot! Mandy and friends

A group of my friends and myself are graduating this year. (In June 2004) So obviously we are in need of a place to stay for beach week. Since most places will only rent to 25 year olds, we are having trouble finding anywhere that will rent to us. If anyone could offer any tips, suggestions, or past experiences, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.
