Ocean Pier IV unit 335 is the most disgusting, dirtiest place I have ever stayed in the Myrtle Beach area (can't forget to mention the bug infestation). This was my 14th trip to Myrtle and this was the worst place I have ever stayed. The internet pictures were very deceiving, I have pictures of the real thing.

I am glad Myrtle has so many attractions and the weather was nice all week so we could spend as little time as possible in the condo. Last time I rent from an individual and EWA Property Management.

Information center on 1604 N Kings Hwy Just to let everyone know we stopped at this info center that was next to wings, got some brochures and nicely declined the mans offer to see a time share. Walked next door to wings when I came back the man had towed my car leaving me and my baby and husband stranded. When I asked why he did this he told me I should have went and looked at his time share and maybe my car
wouldn't have been towed. Just pre-warning everyone as I'm sure I'm not the only
one he has done this too. If anyone has any idea on who I should contact to
at least get this man out of business please let me know.

My husband and I are both 20 and we are looking for a hotel to stay in for a weekend. We will both be 21 soon but we need a getaway before that. I've stayed in the Atlantica and I know they take customers under 21, but it was not very clean. I know a lot of the hotels have made this rule because of the people who have ruined it for the rest of us, but it does not quite seem fair. Does anyone have any advice about any places to stay?

We have been going to MYRTLE BEACH for over 20 years, We have a 3 bedroom house in little river and are thinking about renting it out to people on vacation. The house is in a new gated area, we love it there and we use the house every feb-march the rest of the time the house just sets there.

Hey thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully you can be of some help! My friends and I are graduating this year, 2008 and are all rapidly turning 18.We thought what could be more fun then a nice road trip to Myrtle Beach this summer. So we started looking for some beach houses preferably ocean front. Of course we were finding them by the dozen, even fell in love with one in particular. However, we failed to see that you must be 21 or older for majority of the houses. As a result of this disappointment I came here looking to see if anyone could give me some useful advice, or have any places they know of that will rent to 18 years and up. Thank you so much for your time!

I am looking for a beach house type rental for my family. the only problem is we were wanting to be close to the strip in South Myrtle Beach. I am having trouble finding anything close to the strip. Am I not looking in the right places or is there nothing like this very close to the strip? I keep finding houses on the opposite side of where I want. I'm not too familiar with the area, but all I keep getting told is "it better be walking distance of the strip". I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

We will be going to north myrtle beach the first week of Oct. 2007. I am concerned about the fall Bike Rally. It is nothing against the Bikers, I just don't like the noise. I have been told that motorcycles aren't allowed at the place we are staying. How is the fall bike week in regards to traffic and noise and waits in restaurants? Do most of them stay in Myrtle beach ? I would appreciate some info from someone who has been there during the fall rally. Thanks.

A friend recommended Sands Resorts several years ago & we have been staying there every year. It is very family friendly, they have a kids club & daily activities at the pool. They have a water park & daily breakfast buffet which was included with our stay (very good too). They have 6 resorts.

Has anyone ever been attacked by a shark in Myrtle Beach? Are there Jelly Fish on the beach? Is there anywhere you can go scuba diving or swimming with the dolphins?

Editors Note:
-Sharks, don't know for sure, but there probably has been an occasional minor bite. Best advice anywhere, stay out of the water in early morning and late afternoon - they are feeding then and accidents happen. Don't wear shiny jewelry or bathing suits
-Jellyfish - as with most beaches they come ashore occasionally Usually
later in the summer. MSG works well if biten
-Dolphins - no organized swims we are aware of, Dolphins have become more
and more protected over the years. However, you regularly see them near the
shoreline You may be able to find boats that go out on dolphin cruises

We have a group of eight brothers and friends from our church group that need a place to stay the week of June 9 through the 16. We don't drink or smoke and can ensure that your home or condo will be left as we found it. We are under the age of 25, yet we are responsible young men. Please call or email us if you are willing to give us a chance on your home or condo. Thank you

We went to Bike week in the Spring every year for the last 3 years. BEFORE you make a reservation it is wise to call and see if bikes are allowed on the premises. The M Grande in SurfSide Beach is great!! The renovations are complete, and has all the amenities you can expect from a nice resort and they have a parking garage that on the first two levels accommodate trailers and they allow bikes. The garage is walked by a security guard. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. They have an outdoor deck and often have a live band and cook out for Bike Week.

Best places to visit: Dick's Last Resort, The Dog House South, SBB in Murrel's Inlet, The Original Benjamin's Calabash in Restaurant Row, Thorny's for steaks and seafood (there may be a wait but is so worth it), a little more pricey is Key West Grill in Barefoot Landing but they serve great food and even Cuban favorites like fried plantains and Cuban sandwiches and while you are there..go to Fat Tuesday's for great frozen drinks. MB is all around a great get away spot and since I live in Maryland, not too far away. This years adventure has a Pirate cruise in Georgetown , Drunken Jack's in
Murrel's Inlet, and whatever else we decide to get into!!

We are having guest from Ohio visit and they want to visit Mrytle Beach. Would like to stay over night either April 13 to 14 or April 14 to 15. Just be one night stay and we do not have a big expense account. Even though we are approx. 2 hrs from the beech, it would be better that we stay the evening to enjoy the night life there. If anyone can help us out we would greatly appreciate.

Ms. Gregory,
The easiest thing to do is use the hotel search on our site from any page, then select sort by price. I did a search for the dates you mentioned in Myrtle Beach, SC and prices begin at $49/night at the Days Inn. We'll also post this in the travelogue to see if anyone else has any comments.
Hope this helps.

My husband and I usually go to NMB for 3 days during the May bikers rally; not to ride but to watch. We always enjoyed staying at The Cherry Grove Manor and being able to sit out front in their rocking chairs and viewing the different bikes as they went by. The Manor is gone now and we are looking for somewhere comparable, any suggestions? We are in our 50's and do own a Honda Magna bike...we just do not go to ride...just need a spring break and enjoy the bikes at NMB (not interested in Myrtle).

We have been vacationing at MB for the last five years and really enjoy it. While all things never go perfect people generally do their best to work with you to make things right. That is one thing that has kept us coming
back every year. This past summer we finally met a restaurant manager that
does not deserve to be in MB. Gene Holz, Jr the manager at the Jackalope at Barefoot is about as smooth as 60 grit sandpaper. We ate there as our last night on vacation. We had never eaten there before but from the ads it seemed as an upscale restaurant, boy can ads be misleading. We had a total
of eight meals, of which 4 were good, 2 were so so and 2 were just not right. It is sad to say that the 4 good meals were the kids. One steak ordered rare came out medwell and a meal with cream sauce was replaced with water sauce.

When I tried to talk with Gene Holz, Jr, he took offense that we didn't think his place was great. He went to great lengths to tell me his chef was professionally trained. Maybe he forgot that his chef doesn't personally cook every meal himself. Maybe he forgot that these patrons were spending $200+. I don't know what his problem was then, but I do know what part of his problem is now. We will never go back to that restaurant again, and we will tell anyone who is interested what our opinion of the restaurant and the manager was, with the hopes that we can influence their dining preference.

Again, we really do enjoy just about everything about MB, except the Jackalope and Gene Holz, Jr.
