hey, me and a bunch of friends are looking for a place to
stay preferably in duck or carolla. We're all 19, one of us
might be 20, but we don't want to cause any trouble; we are
a clean, neat, and well behaved group of kids. We just want
to spend some time at the beach. We did this last year but
couldn't find any place that would rent to anyone under 24.
Eventually, we got a family member to pick up a key for us
while we spent the week in obx. The week was probably the
best week of my life. Nothing went wrong, the house was
clean and perfectly fine.
Does anyone know of any owners who will rent to 19 year
olds? Any place you would recommend calling or searching
for? Please don't tell me to go to another beach with my
friends. I don't want to be rude, but frankly we want to go
to obx, not some place else.
Thanks for all the help!

Are the mosquitoes bad in the Southern Shores of OBX in Aug?
We stayed in Kitty Hawk last year and had no problem but
noticed some areas in OBX are polluted with them. We were
thinking of renting a home in the Southern Shores near Duck
this year but aren't to sure . Can anyone help?

My husband has gone annually with his family, and we just
got back from Nags
Head yesterday. It was my first time. You know I am hooked,
because we
signed a lease in Nags head on S VA dare trail...right on
the water! Now we
will be enjoying OBX YEAR round....moving August 31st.
Cannot wait!! Our son
starts Kindergarten 1 day after we move, what a great and
exciting new
journey ahead of us!

I first went to the OBX back in 1986 as a little girl with
my family and we have returned every year since I fell in
love with the mystery and lore as a little girl and still
relish it as an adult today. However, you know your hooked
on the outer banks when its mid January in cold snowy
western pa and you are riddled with the stomach flu and the
only thing willing you to live is the thought of getting
back there in 6 months to smell the salt air!

What is the closest Greyhound bus stop or what is the best
way to get there from Baltimore without having to drive 3
hours from the airport. Is there a shuttle? My daughter may
join us this year on vacation via a one-way ticket and then
drive back with us. We will be staying in Corolla. Also, how
do I see the answers to the questions some people have
submitted on your webpage. Some were very interesting about
fishing and best ways to travel from the North.
Thank you

We just got home from a week in Corolla about 4 hours ago, and
I've spent the entire evening uploading photos to get printed
right away because words can't do justice when I return to the
regular grind this week and try to explain just how amazing this
vacation really was. As I'm uploading, I'm searching the
internet for places just like this, because I can't shake this
feeling that I wish I had never left!! I could see myself
retiring there forever!!

My family has been going to the Seafoam Motel for 31 yrs.
When I first went there, it was 1990, my baby was 8, she is
now in medical school, my other daughter was 10, she is now
bringing her two babies down from Maine this year. My baby
brother was 8 when they first went there, he is turning 39
today. We are all going back together this July. This is
going to be a big time this year.

Hi, you probably have lots of answers by now - but I just
wanted to share that Kill Devil Hill or Nags Head have more
things for teenagers to do. Remember, that the Outer Banks
are actually several towns that are within miles of each
other, so it will be easy to get to a different "town". The
most removed are the north end which is Corolla, Duck, and
Corova. The most southern end has Avon, Salvo, Waves,
Rodanthe, Hatteras. Anything in the middle - which is
Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head is
centrally located. Hope this helps. Hope you enjoy OBX!

I am desperately looking for a 3 BR 2 BA long term
affordable rental home in the Kill Devil Hills, NC area.
Going through a divorce where husband abandoned my 13 yr old
daughter and me. My elderly mother of 72 also lives with
daughter and I. Looking for this area particular for
daughter to be able to play for the OBX soccer team and need
to relocate to area that will be closer to my sister and
also have good soccer program for daughter. We have a cat
who is 8 yrs old, front paws are declawed, neutered, and has
always been indoor cat and has always been fully litter box
trained. Looking to relocate no later than June 15, 2008
(possibly much earlier!) Have been surfing the net and have
not been able to find anything that meets the rent
affordability, # BRs and BAs, right location and accepts
pets! PLEASE HELP if you have or know of any long term
rental that might possibly meet all the above. Thanks so
much!

My boyfriend have planned a road trip in April. Starting in
Myrtle Beach to Charleston to Savannah to Asheville to
Winston Salem to Wilmington. Trying to find a place to stay
in North Carolina. Either in Asheville or somewhere between
Asheville and Winston Salem. This is our first trip together
and we are dying to stay somewhere with an awesome view of
the mountains. Any suggestions?
Thank you,
lesley

I am a responsible LEGAL 18 year college freshman who just
wants to go to the beach with my suitemate and other
friends. But the state of North Carolina doesn't want us
too! Come on give the bored college kids a break. There is
no reason we should be discriminated against because we
still have our youth and want to have a little independence
from our FAMILY!

We live in Pefferlaw Ontario, which is 1 hour north of
Toronto, Ontario.
We have split-level house on a large lot with a river at the
bottom. The
residential neighborhood is situated in the York Region
Forest, and is a 5
minute drive from Lake Simcoe.
We are looking for a house on the coast, for July and August
'08.
Regards, Matt.
